how can i use it instead of the motion sensor.

should i connect the 2 leads from the microswitch to where the yellow and black connections are on the motion sensor.

An excellent project. But I still haven't found an ESP32 CAM project which would be usable to secure the home when you are not at home. For that, the device shoud be at least able to:

1. Take an image every few seconds and store it to SD card (in case other methods of storing the images fail).
2. Upload every image to some free cloud storage service (mega.nz or Dropbox or Google Drive) in case burglars enter the house and take the cameras with SD cards.
3. Enable viewing the most recent image using a browser like in CameraWebServer example by Espressif (maybe one ESP32 could run ngrok service to enable direct remote access for each ESP32 CAM separately, if that is not possible than one Raspberry Pi or Raspberry Pi Zero could run ngrok service). It is not usable if the ESP32 CAM could be accessed via Android application only – there should be a way of accessing it using a web browser.
4. Upload every image to a hidden Raspberry Pi or Raspberry Pi Zero (another redundancy level if something goes wrong).
5. Firmware should store the number of the last image into the file (storing the image in EEPROM every 2-3 seconds would wear the EEPROM even when using wear leveling) not to overwrite previous images after the power outages.
6. If NTP time synchronization was successful, an entry for each image (which contains a timestamp) should be added in a .log file.
7. ESP32 should be able to detect a movement and in that case immediately send SMS and/or email notification to the owner .
8. Owner should be at any moment be able to trigger the alarm from the remote location using a browser. That way, owner could – upon receiving the movement notification and checking the most recent images – trigger the alarm. The alarm should stay ON even if burglars enter the home and destroy the ESP32 devices. By placing the alarm siren at some difficult to reach place (e.g. behind a few doors) the burglars couldn't destroy the siren too fast.

I've done most of above in separated firmwares but am still working on a firmware which could do everything described at once.

How much access does this Telegram App have on the phone. It sounds like another whattsapp, which is better encrypted. It also looks like it just had its first stable release for android two weeks ago. Just don't want to download something that is constantly trying to update itself and crashing the phone.
