There are nearly 700 projects around the world that plan to use hydrogen as an energy source, but almost 90% of them have not taken off. Industry watchers attending Temasek’s annual sustainability conference, Ecosperity, said this was due to a lack of demand as well as public and private sector buy-in. But these hydrogen projects hold great promise for Singapore, which is working to position itself as a refueling hub.
